LAM Man Ho and LI Eric John, final-year undergraduate computer science students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, have won a Silver Award at the ASMPT Technology Competition 2024 with their project, “On the Psychology of Large Language Models.” The ASMPT Technology Award promotes technological innovation in Hong Kong and recognizes students for their accomplishments in technology. The winning project, supervised by Prof. Michael R. LYU and advised by Mr. Jen-tse HUANG, demonstrates a comprehensive evaluation of Large Language Models, assessing their psychological and sociological aspects through various benchmarks, including personality traits, emotions, and decision-making in diverse environments. The Chinese University of Hong Kong received a donation of HK$50,000, and Man Ho and Eric received a scholarship award of HK$20,000 along with a Certificate of Merit from ASMPT Limited.
