Biography
Ho Chuen KAM, Calvin is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He obtained his Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on computer vision and human understanding. Previously he received his B.Sc. (1st Hons) in Computer Science from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).
Before joining CUHK to teach Digital Literacy courses, he served as a Data Scientist and a STEM instructor at Blueinno. He is passionate about teaching STEM to students from various backgrounds and ages. He is also keen to participate in public services to promote STEM AI education through cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Apart from teaching, he also has experience developing Computer Vision and AI projects for healthcare sectors.
He is also a researcher focusing on Computer Vision with Artificial Intelligence, Smart Healthcare, Sensor Fusion, and EduTech. Previously he collaborated with NVIDIA and students for research projects.
