Prof. Liwei Wang and his LaVi team (Shijia Huang, Ziyuan Hu, Yanyang Li) attended the Language and Intelligence Challenge (LIC) 2022 (Semantic Video Understanding track) and won the 1st place (out of more than 500 registered teams)!
The LIC challenge is organized by China Computer Federation (CCF) and Chinese Information Processing Society (CIPS), which is the annual NLP challenge and has attracted hundreds of teams to attend. There are four tracks. LaVi team attend the semantic video understanding track which uses knowledge from NLP and video understanding. The top ranked teams for all four tracks are major companies or institutes from the mainland, such as Tencent, Alibaba, Xiaomi, IDEA, Oppo etc.
