We are delighted to announce that Prof. Bei Yu from our department has been honored with the Best Paper Award at ICCAD 2024, one of the premier conferences in electronic design automation (EDA). His award-winning paper, titled “An Agile Framework for Efficient LLM Accelerator Development and Model Inference” addresses the pressing challenges of designing efficient hardware accelerators for Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly in edge computation scenarios.
This impactful work is a collaborative effort between our department and Zhejiang University, showcasing the power of academic partnerships in tackling complex engineering problems. Notably, the project is led by Prof. Qi Sun from Zhejiang University, an esteemed alumnus of our department, further highlighting the lasting contributions of our graduates to the global research community.
This recognition marks the third time Prof. Bei Yu has received the ICCAD Best Paper Award, having previously been honored in 2013 and 2021. His continued success reflects his dedication to advancing the field of EDA and exemplifies the cutting-edge research being conducted in our department.
