Priyanka is currently a Ph.D student (Aug. 2010-) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Irwin King. She received her master's and bachelor's degree from IIT, Bombay, India in Computer Science and Engineering in 2005. Prior to joining CUHK, she was working with Yahoo! labs, Bangalore, India as a research engineer.

Research Interests

  • Social Networks: Modeling and Information Diffusion.
  • Machine Learning: Support Vector machines, Active Learning, Semi-Supervised Learning, Boosted decision tree
  • Data mining: Text Classification
  • Randomized Graph Algorithms
