===== Policy and Procedure =====

If a new Regional Chapter is proposed and approval requested, the appropriate World Region Sub-Committee will recommend to the VP for Membership that the Regional Chapter be approved.  The main idea behind RCs is to provide a local forum for INNS members so they can interact with each other regardless of their SIG affiliations.  So RCs go beyond the SIGs by allowing INNS members to set forth what they want their RC to accomplish (locally) as defined by their own charter.  A proposal must be submitted to the Chair of the appropriate World Region Sub-Committee containing very specific information: 
  - a mission statement, 
  - a charter for the Regional Chapter which should include a list of expected accomplishments of the Regional Chapter, 
  - a plan to recruit new INNS members for the Chapter,
  - a list of at least 12 names of individuals who are current INNS members, including students (or names of individuals who have a commitment to join INNS if the Chapter is formed), and 
  - any financial support required for the formation of the Regional Chapter.

For your convenience, a form is provided below for you that will serve as your proposal.  Please fill it out and submit it after the final confirmation.

Upon acceptance, the new Regional Chapter at a minimum will be included on the INNS website, and advertised in the Tri-Society Newsletter.
