A Poem .... by Kenrick (8)
A candle light,
flickers at night,
In the cold night air,
It would never fear,
On the table it sits
when a person is sick
In the dark it waddles
playing with its shadow
Fish .... by Kenrick (8)
Fish, Fish, Fish,
One Fish, two fish, three fish,
Red fish, Blue fish, Yellow fish,
Fish live everywhere in the sea.
Fish, Fish, Fish,
One Fish, two fish, three fish,
Red fish, Blue fish, Yellow fish,
Fish we eat, Fish we see.
Fish, Fish, Fish,
One Fish, two fish, three fish,
Red fish, Blue fish, Yellow fish,
Fish is amazing, as you see.

Anyway
The following pithy wisdom is found on the wall of Shishu Bhavan, a
children's home run by Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta,
India.
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
LOVE THEM ANYWAY
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
DO GOOD ANYWAY
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
SUCCEED ANYWAY
The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow.
DO GOOD ANYWAY
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY
What you spent years building may be destroyed.
BUILD ANYWAY
People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY
Give the world the best you've got and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
GIVE THE WORLD YOUR BEST ANYWAY
Another version, often attributed to Mother
Teresa but noticeably different from the version on her wall,
is "The Final Analysis".
(These lines were found written up in Mother Theresa's own handwriting on her
wall by her bed after she died.)
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
...Forgive them anyway!
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
...Be kind anyway!
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true
enemies;
...Succeed anyway!
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
...Be honest and frank anyway!
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
...Build anyway!
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
...Be happy anyway!
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
...Do good anyway!
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
...Give the world the best you've got anyway!
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
The final analysis

`Who cares for you?' said Alice, (she had grown to her full size by this
time.) `You're nothing but a pack of cards!'
At this the whole pack rose up into the air, and came flying down upon
her: she gave a little scream, half of fright and half of anger, and
tried to beat them off, and found herself lying on the bank, with her
head in the lap of her sister, who was gently brushing away some dead
leaves that had fluttered down from the trees upon her face.
`Wake up, Alice dear!' said her sister; `Why, what a long sleep you've
had!'
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Sam Gamgee: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here.
But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that
really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes
you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How
could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened?
But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness
must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out
the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant
something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr.
Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of
chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they
were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth
fighting for.
Like in the Great Stories
written by Frances Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Stephen Sinclair, and Peter
Jackson, from the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien
There's a hero If you look inside your heart You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are There's an answer If you reach into your soul And the
sorrow that you know Will melt away
And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast
your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope
is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
It's a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold You can find love If you search within yourself And the
emptiness you felt Will disappear
And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast
your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope
is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
Lord knows Dreams are hard to follow But don't let anyone Tear them away
Hold on There will be tomorrow In time You'll find the way
And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast
your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope
is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
