Biography
Dr. Mengya Xu is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She earned her Ph.D. from the Medical Mechatronics Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), under the supervision of Prof. Hongliang Ren. In 2023, she served as a research assistant in the lab of Prof. Yueming Jin at NUS, contributing to advanced research in surgical vision and intelligence.
Dr. Xu received her M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NUS in 2019, where she worked on biomedical systems and intelligent sensing technologies with Dr. Tianyiyi He, Dr. QiongFeng Shi, and Prof. Chengkuo Lee. She holds a B.Eng. in Information Engineering from Soochow University, completed in 2018.
