Welcome New Students at the Advisee Meetup to Kick Off the New Academic Year

To celebrate the start of the new academic year, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering hosted the CSE Advisee Meetup on Monday, September 7.

The event kicked off with opening remarks from Professor Philip Fu, Vice-Chairman (Undergraduate), who warmly welcomed the new students.

The gathering brought together faculty members and incoming students in a relaxed, friendly setting. Held as an informal get-together, the event provided students with an ideal space to connect with their peers, meet their academic advisors face-to-face, exchange tips on navigating university life, and enjoy good food together.

Room SHB 1037 was filled with vibrant conversations, lively introductions, and plenty of enthusiasm as students shared their aspirations for the journey ahead. With a strong sense of community established from day one, the department looks forward to supporting all students throughout their academic journey in CSE.

Welcome aboard to all new students, and we wish everyone an inspiring and fruitful semester ahead!
