What is CTF?

Capture The Flag (CTF) is a cybersecurity competition in which participants solve a wide range of technical challenges to obtain “flags” — hidden strings that serve as proof of successful problem-solving or system exploitation.

Typical challenge categories include:

  • Web Security
  • Cryptography
  • Digital Forensics
  • Binary Exploitation
  • Reverse Engineering
  • Miscellaneous

CTFs are widely recognized as an effective way to develop practical cybersecurity skills, critical thinking, and teamwork.
