CHENG Zhiyun, LAW Man Him, and TIAN Yizhou from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, under the supervision of Dr. SUM Kwok Wing Anthony, have been awarded the First Prize (Champion) at the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Hong Kong SAR Final (Cloud Track). The team received a prize along with a Certificate of Merit from Huawei and will now represent Hong Kong SAR at the Regional Final in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Huawei ICT Competition is an annual global event for students and teachers from colleges and universities. It provides an international platform for competition and exchange, enabling participants to strengthen their ICT knowledge, enhance practical skills, and foster innovation using the latest technologies and platforms. The award ceremony was held at HKSTP on 7 February 2026.
