CHAN, Tak-Ming Cyrus is an assistant professor in Department of Computer Science & Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the same department from Sep 2010 to Aug 2011. He obtained his Ph.D in 2010 from the same department, under the supervision of Professor LEUNG Kwong-Sak and Professor LEE Kin-Hong. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Computer science from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2006. His current research is about bioinformatics, data mining and artificial intelligence (evolutionary computation).

  • Bioinformatics: TFBS Motif Discovery, Protein-DNA Interactions, Gene Regulatory Networks
  • Data Mining: Pattern Discovery and Association Rule Mining
  • Artificial Intelligence: Evolutionary Computation, Genetic Algorithms
