The talk first gives an overview of CIeNET Technologies, a U.S. Out-sourcing and Consulting company, while the newly funded Capability Lab in the Beijing headquarter is introduced. The R&D topics within the Lab focus mainly around the Telecom domain, such as Applications on Mobile Devices, Network Simulation/Management, P2P File Sharing, DRM, Media Streaming, etc. In this presentation, we will talk in detail about the design and implementation of DRM and Media Streaming.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Jing Chen is currently the Chief Technical Manager of the Capability Lab in CIeNET Technologies, Beijing. He obtained his PhD in 2003 from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After that, from 2003 to 2005, he joined LIFO, Orleans, France, as a Post-Doctoral fellow, working on modelling and verification of Security Protocols. Dr. Chen received the Microsoft Fellowship from Microsoft Research Asia in 2001, and the Motorola Patent Award from Motorola MDB in 2005.
