Post-doc and RA opening (Oct 2011).

We are now looking for a postdoctoral researcher / research assistant in an
applied/systems research project of distributed storage systems.  The main
objective of the project is to develop practical mechanisms that can enhance 
the robustness and security of a large-scale, network-coding-based distributed
storage system.  The project will carry a strong systems research component
with extensive prototyping and experimentation.  We also hope to publish our
findings in top-tier academic conferences.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- strong in C or C++
- strong systems programming in a Linux environment
- strong writing / presentation skills 
- high intellectual curiosity (e.g., willing and motivated to learn new things
  so as to expand one's intellectual horizon)
- persistence and determination in research. 

The position is for at least 1 year and will start in December 2011 at the
