       NovaNET is a comprehensive computer-based education and communications network that offers thousands of hours of self-paced, interactive curriculum for secondary and adult learners.

  •   School Net
       Hong Kong School Net was an experimental education network initiated by the Department of Information Engineering back in 1994. Formerly known as Hong Kong Education Information Network (HKEIN) which connected only 8 pil ot schools, School Net now provides a low-cost, education-oriented, internet service to secondary school students in Hong Kong. Hong Kong School Net is non-profit-making and non-commercial, and has been supported by volunteers especially students and teac hers.

  •   Intellect
       INTELLECT is a research prototype at the Broadband Communications Lab in the Dept. of Information Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Its goal is to explore the use of advanced multimedia and networking technologies to improve the teaching and learning process. The project focuses on the delivery and remote presentation of pre-designed and stored multimedia course materials. Continuous media, such as video and audio, are stream-delivered (presented and delivered at the same time) to reduce presentation startup time. Multiple media are presented at the client site in a tightly synchronized manner. INTELLECT is a useful tool for TeleEducation, TeleTraining, TeleAdvertizing, and TeleEntertainment.
