Rolling guidance filter can convert halftone images back into original-resolution images, which is referred to as inverse halftoning. Since we define the scale based on scale space theory, our smoothing results describe the appearance. As shown in the close-ups, the halftone images contain many color dots. Our filter removes the small structures and generates satisfying results.
