Appointment of Deputy Editor-in-Chief Professor Teng Long

IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory & Applications is delighted to announce the invited appointment of Professor Teng Long from Beijing Institute of Technology to be its Deputy Editor-in-Chief, effective on May 12, 2021 for a three year term.

In this role, Professor Long is expected to invite Associate Editors, monitor paper review process, commission and edit Special Issues, participate in the annual selection and nomination process for the Best Paper Premium Award, etc. Professor Long is a world leading expert working in the broad areas of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), esp. in Real-Time Digital Signal Processing and Radar System for CPS. His research accomplishments have been well recognized with more than 100 journal papers, over 200 conference papers, over 50 granted patents, and 8 science and technology awards from the ministries and the government of China, including two national technological invention awards in 2011 and 2018. Professor Long is also a long time and outstanding leader in the field. He is a Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology, where he has been in charge of scientific research management, external cooperation and experimental platform construction. He has also been a Director of Radar Research Lab, where he led the team to undertake more than one hundred important projects, leading to producing large societal impacts and winning many awards. In addition, he founded the IET international radar conference in 2009, and the conference has now become one of the most well-known international conferences in his field. His outstanding leadership has earned him the prestigious Distinguished Leadership Award in IEEE TCCPS in recognition of his leadership on novel radar sensing and space-borne embedded information processing, as well as their societal impact, in CPS.

Due to his great achievements in research, education, and leadership, he has been elected as a foreign member of Russian Academy of Engineering, a corresponding member of International Academy of Astronautics, a Fellow of IEEE, and a Fellow of IET. IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory & Applications would like to congratulate Professor Long again for his many accomplishments and welcome him on board!
