Faculty Positions in Computer Engineering at all levels

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is vigorously hiring several tenure track faculty members at the Assistant, Associate and Professor level in Computer Engineering to pursue new strategic research initiatives, to fill up vacant positions within current strengths and to teach in the new curriculum. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a significant independent research programme with external funding, supervise graduate students, and teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

 

The Department is looking for a leader and a couple of young and aspiring professors for added momentum to its Computer Engineering Programme, and in particular, talents in the following areas:

 

  • Emerging technologies for computing, including 3D integration, emerging memory, stochastic circuit, etc.
  • Hardware and embedded security
  • Energy-efficient computing at all level
  • Internet of things or wearable computing

 

Successful applicants should have a PhD degree and a good scholarly record demonstrating (potential for) teaching and research excellence. Appointment(s) will normally be made on contract basis for two to three years initially, leading to longer-term appointment or substantiation (tenure) later subject to excellent performance and mutual agreement. Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
