According to the University Regulations, applicants seeking admission to a course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree of the university shall have satisfied the minimum entrance requirements of the university and the programme concerned.

 

A. Minimum University requirements for JUPAS applicants

Applicants shall

1. have obtained in one sitting of the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) grade E / Level 2 or above in at least seven subjects including two language subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, French or German); AND
2. have obtained in one or more sittings¹ of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) grade E or above in:
   1. Advanced Supplementary Level Chinese Language & Culture²; and
   2. Advanced Supplementary Level Use of English; and
   3. at least two Advanced Level subjects, or one Advanced Level and two Advanced Supplementary Level subjects.

 

₁ Results of applicants repeating in HKALE subjects will be downgraded. The scales of downgrading are subject to review by individual Programmes periodically.

₂ Subject to fulfilling the following conditions, JUPAS applicants may, at the discretion of the faculty deans concerned, be granted waivers of this requirement.

 

B. Requirements of the programmes

	Computer Engineering (JUPAS code: 4410)
HKAL	Grade E or above in AL Pure Mathematics or AL Applied Mathematics or AL Physics; and any other one AL subject or any other two AS Level science subjects.
HKCEE	Good grades in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and two other science subjects; Good grades in Chinese Language and English Language

• For applicants seeking admissions on the strength of qualifications other than Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination results.
• For applicants currently undertaking undergraduate studies in UGC- funded institutions and seeking transfer admissions.

• Local qualifications
• Non-local qualifications

For those who possess associate degree or higher diploma for admission to the first/second year of the undergraduate programmes.

 

Entrance Requirements:
Applicants shall be eligible to apply for admission if they

1. have successfully completed a course of study leading to the qualification of associate degree / higher diploma, and
2. have attained an acceptable level of proficiency in the English and Chinese languages.
