Location-Based Multimedia Mobile Service

In this project we investigate, design, and evaluate location-based mobile services for multimedia applications. We develop an interactive multimedia system employing multiple OS, including Symbian, Smartphone, and Palm OS. We will make use of different messaging systems and mobile streaming technologies, and engage the camera function of modern mobile phone devices. Seamless location sensitive service creation and management will be performed. The techniques that will be adopted in this project include multimedia processing, mobile messaging and streaming, location estimation, detection, and service creation, and embedded system programming.
