Information technology in education (Y. W. Lee)
We are interested in two topics in this area. The first one is on foreign-language acquisition. It is well known that students can acquire a foreign language more effectively if they physically live in a foreign country. With recent advances in communication and information technologies, we believe that it is now possible to emulate locally a foreign-language immersion environment. The second topic is on electronic books. In particular we are interested in the networking and portability aspects of electronic books, and their implications in education.
