Data Partitioning Methods for Key Indexing in Multimedia Databases

In multimedia databases, image retrieval by their approximate contents, e.g., shape, colour, or texture, is still a challenging research problem due to the complexity of describing the content of these non-textual information. This project consists the study of image feature transformation techniques and the performance evaluation of various clustering and data partitioning approaches for database indexing.
