The field of ad-hoc networking is reemerging amid unprecedented growth in the scale and diversity of computer networking. The aims of this research are to understand the fundamental issues of providing quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees to various types of traffic in a mobile and wireless ad-hoc networking environment. Issues we consider are wireless ad-hoc network routing protocols, proxy maintenance, resource allocation and mobile computing services.
