Rapid System Prototyping is the rapid prototyping of systems. These systems may be purely software systems; or purely hardware systems; or a combination of hardware and software; or even systems defined in the abstract sense of algorithms. The research conducted in the RASP Laboratory concentrates on content-based image indexing and retrieval, adaptive video segmentation, fast video compression algorithms, DDoS attack packets traceback algorithms, error resilient video communications, grid computing, mobile agent systems, P2P networks and web services.
