Mr. Gary Chow Chun Tak was awarded the Croucher Scholarship

Mr. Gary Chow Chun Tak, one of our MPhil students in CSE Department under the supervision of Prof. Philip Leong, was awarded the Croucher Scholarship this year (2006-2007) and he will pursue his PhD at Imperial College, London. The scholarship comprises an annual maintenance allowance, assistance towards air passage, plus tuition fees up to and including the third year of the relevant PhD studies programme.

The Croucher Foundation is a private non-profit-making company limited set up and permanently domiciled in Hong Kong, with the objective of promoting excellence in natural science, technology and medicine in Hong Kong. One of the Foundation's regular funding initiatives is to provide financial support for promising young people in Hong Kong to pursue scientific research at postdoctoral and doctoral levels.

The Croucher Scholarship is very competitive. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Gary Chow Chun Tak. This is indeed another great achievement and also shows the quality of our students again.
