Network security and data compression are currently hot issues in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In this talk, a Granulometric Size Distribution (GSD) algorithm based on Mathematical Morphology technique is introduced to address these challenges. In WSNs security, GSD can be applied to detect the intrusion detection, while in data compression GSD can be used to tremendously reduce the size of transmission data.
Xiaoling Wu received her Ph.D. degree from Department of Computer Engineering, Kyung Hee University, Korea, in 2008 and her MS. and BS. from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China in 2003 and 2001 respectively. From Sept.2008 to May 2012, she was a senior engineer in R&D center of ATLab Inc., Korea. Since June 2012, she joined Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an associate professor. Her research is primarily focused in wireless sensor networks, touch sensing and IoT. She has published 9 SCI indexed journal papers and over 30 international conference papers, granted 7 PCT patents and filed 15 China invention patents. She has been serving as a guest editor of IJDSN, an Area Editor for EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems. Besides, she has been a reviewer for multiple SCI/EI journals and session chair/TPC member for many international conferences.
