====== CUHK Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence 2009.. ======

**November 2009**.  Congratulations to Mr. [[:people:tom_chao_zhou|Tom Chao Zhou]] for being awarded a scholarship from the [[http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/oal/forms/forms2009/GuidelinesCUPhD.pdf|CUHK Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence]].

The Global Scholarship program for research excellence (CNOOC) Grants for 2009-10 is to (1) strengthen CUHK's ties with leading research universities and institutes that have been identified as potential strategic partners; (2) provide opportunities for students and teaching staff to conduct research at partner universities of CUHK that may lead to further collaborations and academic exchange; and (3) foster research development and facilitate high impact publications so as to increase the visibility of CUHK as a world-class research university.  It supports research activity of a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 6 months.  

For this scholarship, Mr. Tom Chao Zhou will visit and collaborate with Prof. Tat-Seng Chua, Dept. of Computer Science, National Singapore University in April 2010.
