====== CUHK Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence.. ======

Congratulations to Mr. [[:people:haiqin_yang|Haiqin Yang]] for being awarded a scholarship from the [[http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/oal/navigation_international/Fellowship_Research/08014.html|CUHK Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence]].

The Global Scholarship program for research excellence (CNOOC) Grants for 2008-09 is to (a) strengthen CUHK's ties with 23 leading research universities and institutes in the world, (b) build a collaboration network for enhancing levels of excellence in focused research areas and ( c) increase the visibility of CUHK as a world-class research university.  It supports research activity of a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 6 months.  

For this scholarship, Mr. Haiqin Yang will visit and collaborate with Prof. Stephen Boyd, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University starting in April 2009.
