我們誠邀所有本科生（工程學院除外）於下學期選讀ENGG1000「資訊科技基礎」（1學分）。本課程不設任何考試，完成後更可獲豁免資訊科技能力測試。
ENGG1000是什麼？
ENGG1000為香港中文大學2012年「3+3+4」學制改革下，新本科核心課程之一，旨在介紹資訊科技的基礎知識，培養同學運用及處理網絡應用程序及數碼資訊的基本技巧，並讓同學了解其重要性，踏出成為「網絡達人」的第一步。我們將於2012年1月推出本科作為試行，為學制改革做好準備，並讓有興趣的同學親身體驗未來新課程！
為什麼我要參與？
- 您可以獲得一學分。
- 完成後您可獲豁免資訊科技能力測試。
- 親身體驗「3+3+4」學制改革新課程，為大學未來規劃出一分力。
誰可以參與？
只是您是中大本科生（主修工程除外），不論任何年級，無任歡迎。

ENGG1000 is for you!
We cordially invite all undergraduate students (except Majors in Engineering) to take ENGG1000 "IT Foundation" (1-unit) in January 2012. This course has no exams. Upon completion, students can even be exempted from the IT Proficiency Test.
What is ENGG1000?
ENGG1000 is a part of the required Univeristy Core under the new 3+3+4 undergraduate curriculum starting from 2012. It aims to provide an introduction to information technology so that students can learn to use, appreciate, and handle web applications and digital information, striding towards a smart Netizen. To better prepare for the curriculum reform, we are going to offer a pilot run of the course in January 2012. Interested students can now experience some of our future core courses!
Why should I Participate?
- You get one unit.
- You can be exempted from the IT Proficiency Test.
- You obtain first-hand experience in a new course under the 3+3+4 academic reform, playing a part in the future planning of CUHK.
Who can Participate?
We welcome all CUHK undergraduates (except Majors in Engineering), in any year of study.

To join us, simply enroll this course in CUSIS during the course selection period (22-30 Nov 2011) or add/drop period (16-21 Jan 2012)! You can also go to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Rm 1028, 10/F, Ho Sin Hang Engineering Building) during 30 Jan - 3 Feb 2012 for enrollment.
